A Passion for Healing
Dr. Jessica Ng grew up in Morris County, New Jersey. As a child, she frequently struggled with recurring respiratory illnesses and digestive issues, and her mother would prepare herbal soups to support her recovery.
These early experiences sparked her lifelong curiosity about natural healing and the foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Dr. Ng initially earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication and Graphic Design from Kean University, where she was an active member of Delta Phi Epsilon and remains a proud alumna. Although she loved art and design, she felt called to pursue a more personally fulfilling career. Her interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) deepened while caring for her grandmother. During that time, she discovered cabinets filled with Chinese herbs her grandmother used in nourishing soups and family meals—many reminiscent of the remedies her mother had prepared throughout her childhood, along with herbs she had never encountered before. Witnessing her family consistently turn to TCM for various health concerns inspired her to explore it professionally.
While pursuing her medical education, Dr. Ng lived in Brooklyn with her grandfather until he reached 100 years of age. She admired his longevity and the lifestyle habits he practiced, many of which reflected the core principles of TCM and holistic living. His example further strengthened her commitment to this path.
Dr. Ng began formal training in TCM and quickly fell in love with the medicine. During her studies, she completed her senior internships at the Pacific College of Health and Science Clinic Center and at Cornell University Healthcare Services. There, she treated a wide range of conditions, including infertility, respiratory disorders, emotional health concerns, geriatric conditions, and women’s health issues. She also volunteered at multiple professional events, including the Integrative Healthcare Symposium, where she observed the collaborative relationship between TCM practitioners and conventional medical providers.
After earning her Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine in 2021, Dr. Ng worked in multidisciplinary clinics specializing in pain management and musculoskeletal disorders, often addressing complex and chronic conditions. This experience allowed her to collaborate closely with physical therapists, chiropractors, and other healthcare professionals, further deepening her understanding of integrative medicine. She later earned her doctorate from Pacific College of Health and Science in 2023.
Dr. Ng has pursued advanced training in aesthetic acupuncture with Dr. Travall Croom and completed orthopedic mentorship training with Mark Kuebel, focusing on musculoskeletal conditions. She has also undertaken additional coursework with Dr. Stephen Cowan and Moshe Heller, specializing in pediatric care and non-needle techniques such as Shonishin.
While she values collaborative care, Dr. Ng founded Zensation Acupuncture to provide patients with personalized, attentive treatments rooted in both tradition and modern integrative practice. Her approach emphasizes individualized care, education, and empowering patients on their journey toward long-term wellness.
